Welcome to vacation station – all aboard!
That was a cheesy welcome, but I’m gunna lean into it. Travel has been a core part of my identity as a human for as long as I can remember. Whether it was my parents constantly loading us into the car for road trips or solo traveling and studying abroad in both college and grad school, some of my core memories come out of a suitcase. When we had Kamden, we decided early on that we wanted travel to be a big part of how we teach him about the world and at the ripe old age of 5 this kid has been on more trips and airplanes than I can even begin to count.
What always helped me in trying to stay as prepared as possible for hittin the road with KamJam was hearing from other mom’s, using their tips and tricks as a baseline for my own ideas. Need some products that will help keep a non-mobile baby occupied? I got you covered. Want some ideas for how to pack your diaper bag and suitcases so that you’re prepared for disaster? Also check. Need a list of kid appropriate activities and hidden gems? Checkity check check!
I couldn’t be happier with our choice to bring Kamden on adventures even if I realize that its not a choice all parents would make (and that’s ok) but I won’t sugarcoat it that we’ve also gotten some judgement from time to time about prioritizing travel. This section is for those parents that have the itch to bring your kiddos along AND for those parents that sometimes want to reconnect and travel solo sans kiddos – there’s something for everyone. Our hearts lean heavily into the west coast and the island of Maui but don’t worry – we’ll venture out and share all the details when we do!
XOXO,
Stef
