I don’t know about you, but a trip to the cheese monger makes me feel like I’m the subject of a VH1 True Hollywood Story, a high achiever and a most likely to succeed high school superlative come to life, every time. Could it be that when I walk through the doors of a cheesy slice of heaven, I imagine going back in time to meet a little pigtailed girl on her first field trip eating a yellow Lunchables and then getting to tell her that she walked so I could run? Look ma, we made it?
All jokes aside about why millennials (myself obviously included) are obsessed with Charcuterie, I truly enjoy what building charcuterie does when you bring it to an event – it creates a gathering, a conversation piece, a place to graze and try new things. I can’t tell you how many memories I have sitting around a charcuterie – could be on a fancy board, a kitchen island, a plate from the hotel or a carboard cone from a local market, but the moments shared with people I love is the real magic, as cheesy as that may sound.
